Dr. Bernard Saw Lip Huat is currently an associate professor in the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He received his Ph.D. degree from National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore in 2015. He is the chairperson for the UTAR Centre for Sustainable Mobility Technologies and Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council (UK). His research interests include renewable energy, thermal management, energy storage system, green materials and numerical modeling such as CFD, electrochemical modeling and electro-thermal modeling of the energy storage system. He is the co-chair for the International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Green Technology (SEGT 2018 & 2019). He serves as editorial board member for Journal of Fluid Dynamics and Material Processing and lead guest editor for special issues in Journal of Fluid Dynamics and Material Processing and Journal of Renewable Materials. He is also reviewers for several ISU-indexed journals such as Journal of Applied Energy, Journal of Energy, Journal of Applied Thermal Engineering, Journal of Energy Storage, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Journal of Energy Conversion and Management, Journal of Power Sources, etc and won the outstanding reviewer awards.

Dr. Chew has more than 10 years of research experiences covering the area of advanced materials, electric vehicle related research and lightning and surge protection. He has been actively involved in the research activities as a principle investigator or co-researcher. His research interest including of hybrid energy storage systems, electric vehicle distance estimation system and power electronics converters. Currently, he is actively participated in the research area of lighting and surge protection for potentially hazardous area. Dr. Chew is currently a senior member for IEEE and Chartered Engineer (CEng) for IET. Besides, Dr. Chew also a certified Huawei trainer on Data Center Facilities (DCF).

Ir.Dr. Khoo has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience in transportation related topics. Her research is mainly focus on traffic congestion mitigation. With this, she is expert in traffic modeling and simulation and intelligent transportation system. Recently, she has also ventured into travel behavior research. She has vast practical experience by participating in various high profile traffic related projects through her consultancy service. She is the consultant for the traffic impact analysis for MRT SSP Line (Line 2), LRT 3, Penang LRT, and ECRL.

Dr. Yew has 3 years of working experience in various industries such as building construction projects, biodiesel process and fabrication of oil & gas structures. His research area focus is Structural Fire Protection Materials Engineering and Cool Roof System Technology. He is the inventor of intumescent fire protective coating. He is actively involved with consultancy works. He serves as the reviewer for several SCI-Q1 journals (Progress in Organics Coating, Energy Conversion & Management, Energy Reports, etc.)

Dr. Yew has more than 8 years of working experience involving different projects and consultancy works in various industries such as (1) Fabrication of oil & gas structures, (2) Building construction material, and (3) Site construction projects. He was the Project Engineer and Structural Engineer in IJM and SapuraKencana Malaysia, responsible for design development, fabrication, construction, and management works. His research area is focus on sustainable construction materials. He serves as the Editorial Board Member For Nanoscience And Nanotechnology (Nn), reviewer for several SCI-Q1 journals: Engineering Structures (Elsevier), Construction and Building Materials (Elsevier), British Journal of Applied Science & Technology and etc.

Dr. Ooi J.B. received a B. Eng. (Hons) and M. Eng. Sc. in mechanical engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He obtained a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Monash University Malaysia. He was a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC) from 2011 to 2014. His current research interests are in Combustion, Biofuels, Fuel Technology, and Internal Combustion Engines.

Dr. Steven Lim has more than 10 years of research experience in chemical engineering field. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. His research interests centre around devising sustainable and cost-effective methods to synthesis renewable energy (biodiesel, bioethanol and syngas) and other value-added products (bioplastic, cellulose nanofiber and triacetin) from renewable sources such as biomass.

Dr Tey has 10 years working experience in automotive industry specialise in vehicle dynamics, finite element analysis, vibration, product design and development. He is currently an assistant professor in UTAR under mechanical and material engineering department. His research focus center around vehicle dynamic development, non-destructive testing and additive manufacturing process (3D printing). He had developed few awards winning 3D printer varies from conventional FDM printer to liquid based printing, and PLC based scalable 3D printer.

Wong had 2 years of working experience in automotive industry specialise in workshop practice and emission reduction. He had been in the academics for 13 years that involves lecturing, researching and consulting. He had researched in many product design and fabrication projects from hybrid powertrain, 2 stroke Diesel engine, automotive components and equipments for children with disabilities. His current research interest is in the design and development of Stirling engine.

Dr. Poon has eight years of research experience in chemical kinetics and combustion modeling, specializing in development of chemical kinetic models for diesel and biodiesel fuels. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. Her current research interests mainly revolve around vehicle propulsion systems, particularly Internal Combustion Engines and Battery Packs for Electric Vehicles.

Dr. Kuan received his PhD, Master and Bachelor of Materials Engineering from McGill University, Canada. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. His research interests include Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of rare earth extraction processes, generation of solvent-coated bubbles for use in waste water removal of heavy metals and microbial leaching of economic minerals.

Dr. Rubina Bahar has research experience of more than 10 years in the field of Desalination and utilization of waste/renewable energy. Dr. Bahar obtained her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2011. Her MEng was obtained from the same institution in 2006. Currently, She is an Assistant Professor in University Tunku Abdul Rahman(UTAR). Her major research interests are Sustainable Energy and Water. She has explored the significant Desalination technologies using thermal and membrane processes and still developing energy efficient water purification processes associated with renewable energy.

Dr Ting Chen Hunt has 15 years in engineering practice and scientific research work. He has been involved in manufacturing process and product R&D in electronic industry. He is also active in several research work in the area of advanced materials such as engineering ceramics, battery and solar cell.

King Yeong Jin has been involved in R&D since 2008 where he started to work as a research engineer in Keppel Offshore & Marine Technology Centre Pte Ltd. He work in the drilling equipment department where he involved in various project such as drill floor layout design for slim drill ship, vertical pipe handling machine, FEED study of modular work-over drilling rig for Troll A Platform, offshore wind turbine installation vessel, etc. He joined UTAR in year 2010 as a lecturer. His research interest include noise and vibration, HVAC, and renewable energy. He also actively involve in consultancy work such as noise measurement and mechanical design work. Besides that, he is currently actively involved in ASHRAE and serve as the President-Elect in 2019-20.
